    When Rep. Issa mentions massive government debt and spending, it would be beneficial to distinguish the portion of this directly propping up the shadow banking system’s raft of securities whose market value today largely is marked to fantasy on bank books.

    Rep. Cummings should better inform himself of broken market capacity to price risk in a manner likely to avoid financial crisis. Indeed, this is threatening even the viability of the U.S. Treasury.
