Scott Brown just announced he has been hired by a law firm in Boston that represents clients in the financial sector. In other words, he will essentially be a lobbyist for Wall Street. Add to that a paid gig with Fox News estimated to be worth close to a million dollars per year, plus his new no-show job sitting on the board of directors at a paper corporation in Mass, his income will go up sharply since leaving the Senate. He will also be joining the paid speaking circuit. So, He is cashing in

What’s not looking good for me? That’s pretty close to a million, not to mention her net worth is around $15 million. Moreover she was in favor of raising taxes on those making $250,000 or more which she definitely makes more than. So again why didn’t she pay it? Not looking so good for you champ.

Yeh I said that in other words…”Paying a voluntary higher tax will not acheive this goal of closing the budget gap.” Even though what you say is true it is still irrelevant to this argument bc I cannot find any info saying Warren made over a million in annual income which would render hitmans assertions of hypocrisy completely false. I am still waiting for him to get back with his source. I am geussing he will not be back tho bc social conservatives dont deal well with facts :)

  7. Marie Marr March 13, 2013 at 11:06 pm #

@qualityrck. Regarding Warren paying state taxes in Mass. What good is paying a voluntary higher tax, if you and a handful of others are the only ones doing so? That is the point. Warren also believes all wealthy individuals should pay at least the same tax rate as middle class families, especially if they don’t earn it through labor, but through investments. Warren believes that corporations earning billions in profits should not pay zero in federal income taxes, by using tax loopholes, either

from the boston herald- “Meanwhile, the income for his Democratic rival, Elizabeth Warren, and her husband fell sharply in 2011, with $616,000 in total income as opposed to 2010, when they reported $954,721. Warren reported $981,000 in 2009 and $831,000 in 2008.” This is not looking good for you bud.

Nothing was incoherent about my argument you just didnt like it. Well you must be better at doing research than I. Please give me a source where I can see her annual income was over a million dollars. Also I think you may be confusing state tax with federal tax. Warren never proposed raising state taxes. I would love that source when you get a chance tho.

  10. H1TMANactual March 14, 2013 at 12:35 am #

MA voluntary tax is for anyone wanting to pay a higher tax who feels the moral imperative to do so (like Warren). She has a household income above a million even though she is in favor of taxing households making above $250,000. So again, why didn’t millionaire Warren pay a higher tax? Try putting together a coherent argument.

  11. qualityrkc March 14, 2013 at 1:02 am #

So your confusion stems from your lack of knowledge about the tax policy that is actually being proposed by democrats. You are only taxed based on your annual income not your accumulated wealth. Understand your error?

  12. qualityrkc March 14, 2013 at 1:51 am #

Goal was to have people who make a million dollars or more in annual income to pay a higher tax way as a way to raise revenue and narrow the budget gap. She wants to raise the rates a few percentage points to 36 and 39.6 percent so as to go back to the 1990s tax rates under clinton when our economy was booming. Paying a voluntary higher tax will not acheive this goal of closing the budget gap. Secondly and most importantly Warren does not have an annual income anywhere near 1 million

Oooh Mr. YouTube video commenter can’t have his precious time wasted. Lol.

  14. H1TMANactual March 14, 2013 at 2:54 am #

Why does she want millionaires should pay more in taxes? I am sure she thinks that would create a better society. Some millionaires paying is still better than none paying. Should be simple math. So the question is, why didn’t she pay? Moreover she made a MORAL case also. So her morality went out the window because others weren’t paying? Seems convenient.
If you can’t even put together even remotely coherent rationalizations, don’t waste my time.

  15. qualityrkc March 14, 2013 at 3:26 am #

Why does she think millionaires should pay more in taxes? Find the answer to this question then ask yourself how her paying an individual voluntary higher tax would accomplish that goal. If it would accomplish that goal then she is a hypocrite but if not then you are just grasping at straws. This will save us some back and forth time. Happy hunting!

  16. H1TMANactual March 14, 2013 at 3:32 am #

The one goes around claiming it’s such a moral outrage that millionaires aren’t paying a higher tax, herself a millionaire refused to pay a voluntary higher tax in MA.

  18. qualityrkc March 14, 2013 at 5:19 am #

hahahaha the dems are completely corrupt. You have one honest politician in Warren and you act all high and mighty. Dems refused to cut corporate jet tax subsidies when they were put on the table during the deficit reduction discussions. How do you explain or justify this?

  19. qualityrkc March 14, 2013 at 6:10 am #

    How so?

But better in that Warren is actually SANE and a true expert in this area. All Paul can do is ramble on about auditing the fed and some bullshit about Austrian economics and going back to the gold standard. Warren, however, can actually take Bernanke to task as she actually understands and can debate him on what he is actually saying, and call him on his bullshit when he tries to escape her questioning by resorting to, essentially, “technobabble,” as seen in the video above.
